Just Getting Started Strategies was created to fill a gap in the political landscape—supporting candidates who have the passion to run for office but don’t know where to begin. We believe that no one should be priced out of public service, and that every community deserves bold, authentic leadership.

Since launching in 2021, we’ve helped candidates across South Carolina and beyond take their first steps toward elected office. From city council and county council to State House, State Senate, Congress, and even statewide races, we’ve partnered with people from all backgrounds to build meaningful, community-centered campaigns.

We know that starting a campaign can feel overwhelming, especially in spaces where winning seems impossible. That’s why we focus on practical strategy, grassroots energy, and direct voter contact—helping candidates build real momentum from the ground up.
